The Educational Development project assists specific Adventist schools in India in the following areas:
- Management and planning
- Staff training and curriculum development
- New staff incentives for graduates
- Industry and agriculture development
- Deans and pastoral staff
- School resources
- Building improvement
- School reputation and image improvement
Why has Asian Aid chosen this project?
Asian Aid is facing many challenges with schools in India. Our role has been one of sponsorship. However, we now see the urgent need to take an active role in assisting certain Adventist schools in teaching quality and improved resources. Quality teachers are the backbone of any great education system. Teachers that not only have the knowledge in their minds, but can inspire children to dream big and achieve success. The fund has the full support of the General Conference and the Southern Asia Division, which covers India.”
