This year, Asian Aid's annual Christmas appeal is going towards support of its orphan program. Asian Aid operates six orphanages in India and also sponsors some orphans at the Asian Aid Blind and Deaf Schools. There are continual needs as these children who come to us with nothing require medical treatment, medicines, buildings for school and home, facility maintenance, and staff wages, just to name a few. Also, the cost of food, including basic essentials such as rice, has increased in some parts of India over 30%! Asian Aid USA CEO, Jim Rennie, says that even though it is a constant challenge to meet the needs in our orphanages, in 2012 Asian Aid would like to increase its capacity with the new Sunrise Orphanage location and the new Dorothy Watts Home in Bangalore. These two homes could accommodate another 200 children who currently live on the streets. Any donation, big or small, will make a significant difference in the lives of these children. As you plan your Christmas giving we ask you to please support our Orphan Home Christmas Appeal.
All donations are tax deductible.
