Small, under-resourced, village schools in India need a helping hand! They are the best option for businesses or Adventist schools whose teachers and students would like to help a poor community to witness Jesus' love.

Asian Aid's village schools typically begin with locally gathered materials or a donated space. Some start in churches, others begin with a single thatched hut. Averaging 30 students, there is often little furniture or equipment however local children enroll enthusiastically for the chance of a better future.

Over time these small schools grow to consist of one or two buildings with nearly one hundred students and a handful of staff. In urban areas it may involve an older building or even a church where teachers and students meet. Although they may not be beautiful or permanent, the education provided in these schools is a lasting gift to each child, and a witness of God's love.

Asian Aid can link your school or business to a needy community school. We will provide you with a virtual album of photos and a summary of its history, needs, student numbers and goals. Letters can be exchanged and relationships built.

Schools and businesses in the USA can participate in an annual fundraiser, send resources, exchange ideas, and even send students to visit.

Asian Aid already sponsors each village school wholly, with funds providing everything from tuition to books and teacher resources. But we could very much do with help.
